Nike’s Chinese New Year 2023 Collection Will Include A Colorful, Rabbit-Adorned Dunk Low

Nike’s Chinese New Year 2023 Collection Will Include A Colorful, Rabbit-Adorned Dunk Low

Although a few holidays are left on the schedule for this year, NIKE, Inc.’s already prepped for 2023, at least in regards to the Lunar New Year.

Commonly referred to as “Chinese New Year,” the beginning of the calendar year whose months follow moon cycles has given way to dozens of special edition footwear over the years. One of the Swoosh’s propositions for the “Year of the Rabbit” is a multi-color Nike Dunk Low replete with nods to both the changing of the zodiac and the long-eared protagonist.

Shades of blue, red and brown divvy up panels across the upper, with a golden ornamentation of the aforementioned animal landing on the lateral heel. Standard Nike logos on the top of the tongue have been replaced with symbols reading “rabbit” in Chinese, while branding on the sock-liners are accompanied by a stampede of the high-spirited figure. Profile swooshes and labels on the tongue take on a rabbit fur-reminiscent build. Lace dubraes read “2023” in a metallic gold finish that complements the rest of the touches of luxury found on the Nike Dunk. Lastly, the shoes feature a white and yellow-colored sole unit that hand over the spotlight to the top-half of the sneakers.

Enjoy an extremely early look at the pair ahead, courtesy of Instagram user @woganwodeyang, and expect the shoes to hit Nike SNKRS before January 2023 ends.
