Jared Ebanks Throughout the silhouette’s 40th anniversary The Swoosh has outfitted the Nike Air Force 1 in both boisterous and reserved compositions. Continuing the dominance of Bruce Kilgore’s iconic construction into 2023, a clad nubuck construction envelops the latest two-toned Air Force 1 Low.
Sticking to its clad upper guns and contrasting sole unit underfoot, soft nubuck panels and wax laces proffer a premium 2000’s aesthetic in tandem with embossed and stitched tabs affixed to the tongue and heel. Coating the aforementioned embellishments in coordination with its nylon sock liner, a faded golden hue sets the stage for a monochromatic upper. Dissimilar to the tooling of its all-out “Chocolate Brown” effort from October, the sole unit indulges in a disparate coat of cream, providing a neutral contrast in conclusion to the AF1’s latest tonal ensemble.
