Sneaker News 2023 is a little more than a week away — and while we’re grateful for all the sneakers we’ve received across 2022, there are more (and arguably better) ones awaiting us in the new year. Jordan Brand, as always, is among of one of many brands to look out for, as they’re complementing countless new colorways with past classics the likes of the Air Jordan 5 “Burgundy.”
Though not quite an OG, having debuted during the mid-2000s, the Air Jordan 5 “Burgundy” is still a favorite amongst many a sneakerhead. And if we’re lucky, the design of the 2023 Retro will very closely mimic that of its 2006 counterpart (pictured), incorporating burgundy shades across its upper as well as touches of grey and silver up and down the instep, midsole, lining, and branding.
For now, sit tight as we await additional imagery of the 2023 Air Jordan 5 “Burgundy.” Per previous reports, the colorway is currently expected to release on September 9th, 2023 at a retail of $225 USD.
In other news, the adidas YZY 500 will possibly be one of the first Yeezy models to return in the new year.
