Jared Ebanks The Nike Air Max Plus serves as one of a handful of silhouettes for The Swoosh where its popularity overseas stretches farther than it does in the States. And while an overwhelming amount of saturation served as the silhouette’s main embellishment, a tonal switch has been employed across the retooled retro cushioning solution.
Remaining tried-and-true to its gradient roots, a wash of white to grey envelops the knit mesh base layer accented by translucent TPU overlays. Brightened along the tooling of its mesh and leather tongue, nylon sock liner and laces, seldom “Olive” lace loops accent the uppers crisp white treatment in tandem with the tongue’s light grey lining. Before the pair indulges in a clad white sole unit, a “Flat Pewter” extends across the thin leather overlay in tandem with its glossy mudguard and darkened Air Max bubbles while an unassuming sampling of orange fills the medial side’s embellishment.
