Sneaker News Subtlety has been left inside the country club lockers, because Nike is going loud and proud with its upcoming Air Max 1 Golf offerings. After getting a look at the “Always Fresh” edition for the upcoming Masters at Augusta, and an equally vibrant neon green and pink, Nike now delivers a Spring-ready look inspired by periwinkle flowers.
The upper construction sees a simple blend of light cream, white, and black, while the midsole is flooded in a vivid pink hue. The more common hue found on the five-petaled flower appears on the lace eyelets, the camo-like rubber outsole, and the actual floral detailing found on the tongue label and the insoles. Nike really needs to drop these colorways on the standard Air Max 1 pairs, but we’ll settle for the classic Sport Red on the Air Max 1 ’86.
