The glossy satin fabric has become synonymous with basketball much in part due to the varsity jacket style that blew up in the 1980s. Even moreso, Jordan Brand has managed to capture the essence of MJ with the Air Jordan 1 “Satin” in its various forms, including the upcoming Satin Air Jordan 1 for Holiday 2023.

The lustrous weave has also been used aplenty with Nike’s basketball shoes from the 1980s. More commonly seen in the Vandal and Terminator, satin is now featured on this upcoming Air Force 1 Low. Clean white uppers are matched with a vibrant red on the Swoosh, heel, and tongue logo, while an attractive translucent outsole adds an emphatic flair.
