Airbrushed treatments have become a readily employed aesthetic by The Swoosh as of late, centering a majority of its compositional choices across its Air Max lineup. From the brand’s recent foray into spray-painted Swooshes and gradient-filled Air Max Plus propositions, the Nike Air Max 90 now instigates the concentrated decoration of hues in a late Valentine’s Day theme.
While not directly related to this past week’s love-filled holiday, the lush “Pink Blush” ensemble affixed with hits of maroon and white connect the Tinker Hatfield design to the past few weeks of releases. As such, the pair’s mesh base layer enjoys a recurring pink-to-white gradient while the pair’s smooth leather overlays and panels indulge in a light pastel pink that renders near-clad color matches across its laces and presiding sock liner. Darkened by a wave of maroon outfitting the initial quarter overlay, heel tab and forefoot tread tip, a much more titular rose pink envelop the mid-foot Swooshes reptile-like texture while a simplistic “Sail”-colored midsole unit provides a neutral conclusion to the vibrant effort.
