“Active Teal” Gets The adidas NMD S1 Ready For Spring

“Active Teal” Gets The adidas NMD S1 Ready For Spring

Developed in part with Pharrell Williams, the adidas NMD S1 delivers a futuristic aesthetic that’s had some trouble winning fans over. Yet, an upcoming “Active Teal” option offers another take for springtime use.

Primeknit construction across the upper is clad in the titular aqua tone, deviating from the whites and blacks of past releases. Side panels opt for a semi-transparent makeup that delivers contrast to the near-uniform top-half. Enclosed Boost cushioning underfoot is visible via a midsole solution done in a similar style, creating a two-tone finish. The geometric detailing across the midsole revert to “Active Teal” flair, while the bulk of the sole unit favors an off white, semi-translucent application. All together, each component helps expand the adidas NMD into the next decade.

No firm adidas.com launch date has been shared by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official photos of the pair ahead.
