With a month left before Earth Day, the sneaker ecosystem’s biggest names have begun crafting their exploratory ensembles in eco-friendly toolings and honorary color blockings set in the great outdoors. New Balance has had its fair share of propositions to select from the archives as the NB Fresh Foam X Hierro v7 readies the Boston brand’s first-ever collaboration with Parks Project.
A conscious take on the classic trail model comes designed to evoke the senses of the natural world and engage with the green spaces that break up city blocks. As the collaborative debut between the two entities, the trail-ready silhouette brings the group’s parkland advocacy to city landscapes with a clad “Nightwatch Green” upper comprised of synthetic knit and hairy suede overlays mimicking grassy patches. Coating its mid-foot “N” logo in an aerial city grid layout, the latter tincture begins to bleed unto the “Sandstone” colored Fresh Foam midsole while the gum treatment applied to the tread underfoot is tooled to explore.
Closing out the model with colorful insoles depicting an outdoor city park, the Parks Project x New Balance Fresh Foam X Hierro v7 releases tomorrow, March 30th, in men’s and women’s sizing. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the collaborative silhouette set to retail for $155.
In other news, the Nike Air Max 1’s crepe construction returns for a lightened treatment anchored by “Pale Vanilla” hues.
