The Converse SHAI 001 Lace Up Appears In Two “Fever Dream” Looks

Reportedly dropping in November.

The Converse SHAI 001 Lace Up Appears In Two “Fever Dream” Looks

The New York Knicks are on a quest to repeat; the Oklahoma City Thunder are on a quest to reclaim their dynasty status. Though Sam Presti’s offseason wizardry has resulted in a slightly different construction this year than last, with big man Aday Mara in from Spain and longtime wing Lu Dort out to Atlanta, the principal players are still intact. As Shai Gilgeous-Alexander laces ’em up to start the year against the Spurs, new colorways for his Converse SHAI 001 Lace Up have appeared.

In much the same way as the “Shock” and “Spark” toggled between yellow-on-white and green-on-black, the “White/Fever Dream” and “Black/Fever Dream” keep to contrast collars and trim. Flares of fire red run down the lace unit and envelop the top of the tongue before splitting into arrangements that remind of the “Charm Black” or “Clean Slate.”

Beaverton-aligned “it girl” Veneda Carter was actually the first to reveal both of these colorways, sharing a care package comprised of the “Creamsicle” and these two. In choosing not to show the heel, she sparked a ton of speculation on whether these pairs would carry the Swoosh instead and be presented as the Nike Shai 001, but these shots confirm the same star badges affixed to the back.

The Converse SHAI 001 Lace Up in “White/Fever Dream” and “Black/Fever Dream” is listed on overseas calendars for November 5th in adult and grade school sizing. Catch official images included below.
