The Skate-Themed Air Jordan 1 Low “Born To Fly” Appears In University Blue Tones

As we’ve seen throughout a vast catalog and most recent with the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4, the crossover between skate culture and the Air Jordan legacy is a time-tested tradition that continues to this day. Skaters in the 80s looked toward the Air Jordan 1 often, and this merging of two completely interlocked sports has spawned a new category of lifestyle footwear with an added artistic twist.

This merge is best seen in this upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low “Born To Fly,” which is set to drop in a variety of colorways. This “University Blue” iteration sees a variety of scribbles and illustrations, with “Just Skate” depicted underneath the padded tongues. Penciled illustrations of skaters and related ephemera appear on themed medial, while the lateral sees a rad flaming detailing above the swoosh logo.

There are more releases in store for this skate x hoops crossver; just recently we showed you a first look at an Air Jordan 1 Mid with an SB-style padded tongue.

A release date for this pair has yet to be revealed, so stay tuned for updates.
