Jordan Brand Treats The Michigan Wolverines To An Air Jordan 1 Low OG PE

The Michigan Wolverines Football Team has a lot to prove to sports analysts, but not to sneaker enthusiasts.

Despite recently being ranked questionably by ESPN in the Football Power Index, the back-to-back Big Ten Champions are in good standing with Jordan Brand, their sponsor. The NIKE, Inc. subsidiary gifted members of the squad a Player-Exclusive take on the Air Jordan 1 Low OG.

Akin to special pairs prepped for other college athletics programs, the Michigan PE features the schools’ colors proudly across the upper and sole unit. Leather of different textures come together to boast “Maize,” “White,” and “Blue” tones. Miniature swooshes and quilted inner lining deliver non-standard touches to the low-top Air Jordan 1, but nothing like the large “M” logo on the sockliner commemorating the University of Michigan. Underfoot, the midsole opts for a mostly “colorless” finish, although stitching brings yellow flair to the cushioning. Lastly, the beloved traction dons a semi-translucent, gum brown bottom for a summer-friendly touch.

Enjoy a detailed look at the pair ahead, courtesy of Instagram user @englishsole. The shoes will not receive a Nike SNKRS launch.

For sneakers that’ll hit retailers, check out the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Olive” launching on April 26.
