Update November 14th, 2023: New images have been updated below.

Now on his 16th signature silhouette with The Swoosh, Kevin Durant has enjoyed the full fruits of his labor as a future first-ballot Hall of Famer. Amassing a regular-season MVP, two Championships and Finals MVPs, the DMV native’s signature offerings over the past few years, however, have failed to mirror the same mystical touch that was executed throughout the 2010s, striking gold in 2011 with the introduction of the now heralded Nike KD 4.

Following the inaugural debut of his retro sub-label with the Nike KD 3 “All-Star” in early February, Nike Inc. is continuing to harken back to iconic colorways from its yearly ASW series of footwear with the Nike KD 4 “Galaxy” reportedly set to return in 2024.

Initially released and worn by Durant during the 2012 NBA All-Star Game in Orlando, Nike Basketball’s collection of footwear that year looked to space in homage to the Kennedy Space Center for a “Galaxy”-inspired aesthetic that included the riot-inducing “Galaxy” Foamposites. The second of Durant’s Nike silhouettes to feature a mid-foot strap is set to embark upon its identical astronaut inspiration with NASA-style mission patches and lively “Total Orange accents for an anticipated Spring 2024 release.

As we await further details, the Nike KD 4 “Galaxy” can be seen ahead in first-look imagery.
