Nike Australia Boasts A Special Air Max 90 In Pistachio Green

feature image

For over two decades, Nike’s Tail Wind lineup has been ingrained within Australia’s youth culture. While the Air Max Plus specifically has remained the cream of the crop Down Under since 1998, the largest Oceania country is now receiving it’s own delicately crafted Nike Air Max 90.

Set atop a supple white leather base, the continent’s synonymous green, yellow and gold palette notoriously worn throughout the Olympics comes brushed up on the Tinker Hatfield design albeit utilizing a faded tint. Dipping both its tongue and heel tab, translucent quarters, mid-foot Swooshes and Max Air bubble underfoot in the pastel-centric “Pistachio Green”, light grey nubuck overlays and a staple gum tread compliment the neutral ensemble. Detailed branding is ever-present throughout the honorary effort with gold metallic dubraes, sun insignias placed at the heel and “AU” logos stamping the upper tongue and insoles.

As we await further release details, in the meantime enjoy official images of the Nike Air Max 90 “Australia” below.

For more in the realm of upcoming silhouettes, check out where to buy the women’s-exclusive Air Jordan 11 Low “Yellow Snakeskin” ahead of the pair’s release next Thursday.
