The Swoosh has demonstrated that it isn’t afraid to change up iconic designs. As part of its relaunch of the Nike Air Adjust Force, the Oregon-based institution has reimagined the classic basketball silhouette as a women’s sandal.
Recently surfaced in “Linen/Tan” and “Black/Metallic Gold,” the offering screams “summertime.” Furthermore, the sandal is yet another display of performance heritage being married with modern style. The slip-on mode features the same general “upper” as the original from 1996, but tooling is entirely reworked. The robust midsole and outsole combination gives the Air Adjust Force Sandal a platform appearance, likely an attempt to appeal to bold fashionistas. Like on the original performance shoe, the women’s-exclusive features a removable strap across the mid-foot, allowing for a sleeker look when removed.
