Sneaker News The NBA and NHL seasons are wrapped, and the MLB is inching ever so closer to the mid-season classic. That only means that the new football season is right around the corner, and there’s no better indicator than the release of the latest Madden game. The NFL simulation franchise helmed by EA Sports announced earlier this year that Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen would be the latest star to grace the game cover, further building up the anticipation of the release of Madden ’24.
Continuing their partnership with Nike is this special edition Air Max 90 release inspired by the game. It features a textured brown upper, mimicking the dimples of a pigskin football, with dark brown smooth leather on the underlay and the mudguard. The game’s “Play Like Mad” slogan is pressed into the mudguard leather, while royal blue and red accents, inspired by the NFL’s official logo. decorate the outsole and interior (also matching the Bills uniforms). Special insoles with the logo and drawings of a coach’s playbook are also included.
Madden ’24 is officially due out for game consoles on August 18th, 2023, which suggests that a release date for the Air Max 90 “Play Like Mad” is around that date. Considering the history of the EA Sports x Nike partnership, it’s possible that a special release could be in play that includes special packaging, in-person activations, Shock Drops, and more.
