No updates about the adidas Yeezy partnership have surfaced over the past month, but the Three Stripes continues to tap into Ye’s legacy on its own. Case in point?: The adiFOM ClimaCool.
Reminiscent of the adiFOM Q and Yeezy Foam Runner, the newly-surfaced pair features cool comfort for all-day wear. The ClimaCool technology developed in 2002 appears as part of the shoe’s base layer. The ultra-breathable mesh is coupled with an injected foam “shell” that delivers protection without sacrificing airflow. Because of its contoured shape and number of perforations, the adiFOM part of the adidas design resembles a skeleton. Underfoot, the traction pattern is a lot more robust than on other similar foam-based footwear on the market, evoking the Three Stripes’ legacy in performance.
Enjoy retailer photography of the pair ahead, and anticipate an adidas.com launch soon. The adiFOM ClimaCool releases at select retailers on July 1st for $120 USD.
