As LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers continue to figure out their squad for the 2023-24 NBA season, the “kid from Akron” and his Swoosh family keep developing new sneakers. The latest?: The Nike LeBron Witness 8.

A budget-conscious offering from King James and Nike, the Witness series has been championed for its price and performance. The next Nike LeBron Witness model abandons the plethora of overlays and accouterments across the upper from its predecessor for a streamlined build. A mix of leather and textile materials take on the sneaker, with a lockdown component landing on the quarter-panel. Underfoot, the sneaker’s sole unit keeps things straightforward with a robust, but simple midsole. Air Max units appear towards the heel, although full-length Air cushioning might be present.
