Jared Ebanks Following the obsessive success behind the Air Max 90 Futura, Nike is set to bridge its famed Christian Tresser design with contemporary design influences, such as this clad-black take on the Air Max 97 Futura.
Striking up a lively discussion during its initial reveal back in April, the heavily layered ensemble collects ballistic mesh, nubuck, tumbled leather and suede for an amalgamation of textures. The 1997 staple retains its wavy mid-foot overlays while its full-length Air Max cushioning system has been lofted featuring an all-new tread pattern. Aside from the seldom white stitching that cures the duo of pull tabs, the entirety of the model assumes a uniform black arrangement for a versatile fall-friendly offering.
