After a seven-game exhibition schedule, Luka Doncic and the Slovenian national team are primed for a run in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. Following the debut of his second signature silhouette this summer, the four-time All-Star will be paying homage to his home country’s only natural island.
In connection to his Air Jordan 36 PE, the Jordan Luka 2 pays tribute to Lake Bled within the Julian Alps of Northwest Slovenia. More than just its blue-dominant color palette, the Next Nature construction builds out at least 20 percent recycled content throughout the model, a nod to the country’s immense focus on sustainability. A crisp white injection interrupts the tonal blue colorway throughout the midsole while striking red hues animate the tongue logos and multi-color lace loops. Regrind content is found within the heel clip and the Formula 23 cushioning system underfoot.
The Jordan Luka 2 “Lake Bled” is scheduled to release on September 14th for a retail price of $140. In the meantime, the pair can be seen in official images below.
For more from the Beaverton brand, the Jordan 2 “Black Cement” recently surfaced.
