Nike is delivering the ’87 darling in the simplest of color schemes, putting for a near all-black colorway of the Air Max 1 with just a few instances of contrast. A white appears on just the branding as it pops out via the Swoosh logo on the upper quarter as well as the Nike Air stamps on the tongue, embroidered heel, and on the insoles. But these aren’t entirely a binary treatment; the visible Air unit at the heel is colored in a blue shade.
This Nike Air Max 1 could benefit from some reflective panels, but Nike official images reveals no such detail. Regardless, simple colorways have always been an easy pick-up at retail, so expect these AM1s to go fast once they arrive on Nike.com. Release date information to come soon.
