Jared Ebanks After an overwhelming assortment of low-top trims, Nike is transitioning to the fall season in style. Case in point? The Air Max 90’s latest ensemble comes affixed with lace toggles and outdoors-ready tooling.
Houndstooth laces reach from the base of the vamp, around the upper collar and to a bright orange lace lock positioned just behind the color-matched heel tab. In connection, the surrounding real estate assumes a concoction of autumn-friendly tones. Elsewhere, dark olive ballistic mesh consumes the base layer and tongue while hazelnut-treated eye stays and cream-stamped tongue tabs add a sense of rugged utility to the brand’s Max Air lineup. Chocolate brown suede overlays entrench a dominant majority of the mid-foot section while army green profile swooshes introduce a layered aesthetic.
