Yoon Reveals Unreleased “White/Red” AMBUSH Nike Uptempo Sample

Yoon Reveals Unreleased “White/Red” AMBUSH Nike Uptempo Sample

Yoon Ahn and the rest of the AMBUSH team have been producing story-driven, fashion-forward product with NIKE, Inc. since 2018. Over the years, the partnership has developed a number of styles that haven’t – and won’t – see the light of day, but Ahn has shown them to the world.

Recently, the Boston University alum took to Instagram to show a never-before-seen sample of the AMBUSH x Nike Air More Uptempo. Ahn’s take on Wilson Smith’s iconic design from 1996 features a shorter trim than the original, but the remainder of the build is familiar. “AIR” text on the profiles take on a vibrant red tone, while the rest of the sneaker favors a clean white finish (save for swooshes and other logos). The story stays the same underfoot, as supporting details interrupt a “colorless” sole unit with ruby and black-colored contrast. According to the AMBUSH co-founder, the pair is a scrapped sample that’s going into storage indefinitely.

The two-tone option won’t hit nike.com, but you can still enjoy “what could’ve been” ahead.
