The practice of transferring one original Air Jordan colorway onto a different model of the legacy has been a time-tested method of generating appeal among Air Jordan fanatics. And guess what: it still works.
Next up in this series of colorway loaners is the Air Jordan 6 “Aqua”. Utilizing the classic black nubuck as its base, Jordan Brand adds in the popular 90’s-friendly combination of Bright Concord purple and Aquatone teal. It’s a pairing we’ve seen in both the Air Jordan 5 “Grape” and the later Air Jordan 8 “Aqua”, but the nickname seems skewed towards the latter due to the identical use of black material.
Structurally, the Air Jordan 6 “Aqua” is no different from its Infrared original, which is enough reason to believe that this release will be quite coveted once it drops in stores. An official release date is confirmed for October 7th, and better yet, this iteration of the Air Jordan 6 will indeed be a full family size affair, which means sizes from adults down to toddlers will be available. See the brand images ahead and stay tuned for the release.
In other Jordan retro news updates, the Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” is officially due out on the end of the month.
