The New Balance 2002R resides as one of the Boston brand’s laurel lifestyle offerings. As the weather takes a turn and more care is required to keep your shoes clean, the N-ERGY cushioned silhouette has embarked on a set of jet-black sole units to combat the winter’s unexpected weather patterns.

Joining a recently revealed “Tobacco” cured composition, this greyscale effort also indulges in a pitch-dark midsole construction. Further gloomy color matches appear within the inner lining while the upper’s nubuck and suede real estate assume a clad “Castlerock” treatment. Illuminated via the crisp white trim of the profile “N” logos, the tonal greyscale aesthetic continues to engage the heel’s sliver of mesh alongside the tread underfoot.
