UPDATE November 7th, 2023: Photos of the “Volt” colorway have been added.
Supreme and the Nike SB banner are more than familiar with one another, collaborating to release an overwhelming number of iconic compositions throughout the years. Thanks to recently revealed first-look imagery from industry sources, the two entities’ latest joint effort is coming in the form of the heralded Nike Air Darwin Low.
Falling in line with the recent SB-designed Air Jordan 4 “Pine Green”, Supreme is now transforming the iconic mid-90s solution into a skate-ready composition. In connection with the silhouette’s 30th anniversary in 2024, the New York-based banner has completely retooled the once full-grain leather upper into a thick, skate-friendly textile that consumes the near-entirety of the low-top ensemble. Further original embellishments from the 1984 design are featured within the rope laces and connecting pull tabs accompanied by a chunky rubber sole unit underfoot.
The Supreme x Nike SB Air Darwin Low is expected to release in four colorways, “Black”, “Khaki”, “Volt” and this “Sail” treated effort is illuminated through bright “Polar Blue” accents and pitch-dark contrasts that clarify the outsole, heel tab and inner lining. According to masterchefian, the light blue accented pair has been limited to just 6,500 units. While we await the collection’s release in Spring/Summer 2024, the aforementioned colorway can be seen below in first-look imagery.
