Having already made its NBA debut alongside Jamal Murray during the preseason, New Balance’s premier on-court basketball shoe has slowly begun to broaden its roster of colorways. Outside of the initial slate of simplistic, Team Bank offerings, the TWO WXY V4 now explores a tonal collection of hues mirroring the captivating aurora borealis.
In a stark departure from the silhouette’s past two-toned efforts, the upcoming “Atmosphere” colorway favors the silhouette’s heavily split aesthetics. Filling the ribbed heel counter and tongue construction in full vibrancy, an “Aura Blue” hue extends a faint gradient across the mid-foot and quarter. Clarifying the profile N logo and laces with crisp white contrasts, a faint “Summer Aqua” treats the forefoot before consuming the combined Fresh Foam X and FuelCell cushioning system in full. What’s more, the opposing edges of the tread are cast in a titular “Bright Sky” accent that highlights the main banking areas underfoot.
The New Balance TWO WXY V4 “Aura” is scheduled to release on October 18th for a retail price of $120. In the meantime the pair can be seen below in detailed imagery.
In other news, the Jordan 12 “Cherry” arrives on October 28th.
