Despite straying quite a bit from the original silhouette’s DNA, the Air Jordan 1 Elevate doesn’t fail to channel the legacy of Michael Jordan’s very first signature.

After emulating a number of the Peter Moore-designed sneaker’s most iconic colorways, the Air Jordan 1 Elevate is now ostensibly looking back on the athlete’s days at Chapel Hill. Here, hits of “Dark Powder Blue” — which are relegated to the Swoosh, toe box, collar, and outsole — nod to the signature colors of the Tar Heels. White, then, rounds out the pairs design, dressing everything from the leather upper to the midsole and lace unit.

This UNC-esque take on the Air Jordan 1 Elevate should be making its way to Nike.com and store shelves soon. As we wait, enjoy a closer look via the official images ahead.

In other news, another A Ma Maniere Air Jordan 4 is slated for Fall 2024.
