Jovani Hernandez The Grinch might’ve stolen and returned Christmas, but it’s keeping the adidas Forum Low in his possession for at least another holiday season.
Last December, Dr. Seuss’ beloved character appeared on the popular adidas Originals, uniting two seemingly-random worlds. The collaboration featured a number of callbacks to Whoville’s outcast, most notably an eyebrow-raising green suede across the upper. The shoes quickly sold out upon releasing, helping the Three Stripes close out another year in which it refocused on some of its most iconic designs from the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. Recently, images of three The Grinch x adidas Forums surfaced, all-but-confirming that the reformed-“Green One” will continue to spread Christmas cheer via sneakers.
“Solar Green” flair returns to the offerings, but takes a backseat in comparison to 2022’s pair. Two of the three styles enjoy a hairy upper, nodding to both Cindy-Lou Who and Max, two important figures in Dr. Seuss’ tale. Traditional adidas branding appears across the trio, with special logos for the collection landing on the tongue label and sockliners. Each Forum Low is also decorated with lace dubraes that further tie back to the famed children’s story. The next pop culture collection by adidas is sure to make it on countless wish lists whenever it launches.
