Thanksgiving and other gift-giving occasions are inching closer, but the Nike Dunk Low is already thinking about Valentine’s Day 2024.
Revealed in parts by the Swoosh, next year’s February 14th capsule is set to bring love in handfuls of variations. Nike Sportswear is leading the charge with Peter Moore’s iconic silhouette from 1985, as is Bruce Kilgore’s Air Force 1 from three years prior, but the whole Nike conglomerate is expected to participate. A newly-surfaced Nike Dunk for Big Kids and Little Kids takes on a familiar color palette and material execution. Soft fabrics cover the entirety of Moore’s 38-year-old creation, keeping things playful while also evoking the stuffed animals and hearts often exchanged on the romantic holiday. Profile swooshed and Achilles’ Heel overlays deviate in a hairy material and hue, contrasting their rich red surroundings with stark white. The “Nike” text on the spine is accompanied by a special tag reading “To: You ♥: ✔.”
The Nike Dunk “Valentine’s Day 2024” also features festive heart emblems on the top of the tongue, replacing traditional branding. Kids’ sizing arrives with two-tone colored sole units that round out the love-centered ensemble well. On-theme stickers are also included with the shoes, including a clever “Solemates” one that serves as another message from the Swoosh to its customers.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and expect a nike.com launch come February 2024. Pricing for the kids’ “Valentine’s Day” Dunks ranges from $75 USD to $100 USD.
