Informed by and developed with the help of Don C, the Jordan Legacy 312 combines Michael Jordan’s first three signature sneakers, bridging the gap between old school performance and modern style. Since 2018, the hybrid design has been part of Brand Jordan’s roster of offerings, breathing new life into relics of the 1980s.
With winter fast approaching, the fusion silhouette has surfaced in a season-appropriate “White/Arctic Blue” color scheme. While not modified for the cold, wet conditions (for that, look to the Air Jordan 5 “Archaeo Brown”), the pair brings the season’s color palette to sneaker form. Leather sets the stage for a mix of materials, donning a “colorless” base and light blue contrast around the forefoot, along the tongue, and across the heel. Profile swooshes and lockdown straps at the vamp also partake in the “Arctic Blue” party, resembling recent offerings from the Nike Sportswear family. Elephant print transplanted from the Air Jordan 3 abandons its iconic “Cement Grey” finish, instead opting for the wintry makeover found across its surroundings.
Underfoot, the color story stays the same, giving the Jordan Legacy 312 a look sure to be celebrated by its target audience: kids. Midsoles indulge in a two-tone arrangement that sees components just above the visible Air unit dress up in a sky-reminiscent blue. Outsoles designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1988 round out the light color scheme with an icy, semi-translucent makeover.
No firm nike.com launch details have been disclosed by the brand as of this writing, but that’s likely to change soon. While you wait, enjoy official photos of the kid’s pair ahead. The Jordan Legacy 312 is priced at $100 USD.
In related sneaker news, the Nike Air Max DN is set to debut March 2024 as the latest from the revolutionary line.
