A “Lucky Green” Update Lands On The Jordan MVP

A “Lucky Green” Update Lands On The Jordan MVP

Michael Jordan’s winning legacy on-the-court has been celebrated over the decades by his Air Jordan line. And while retros of #23’s signature models continue to dominate, hybrid designs like the Jordan MVP have also found their footing in “His Airness”‘ story.

First teased in the first quarter of 2023, the Jordan MVP features design cues from the Air Jordan 6 through 8. As the model’s name suggests – and history confirms – the sneaker commemorates the three shoes MJ wore during his first set of NBA Finals MVP awards. The pair has been seen in a handful of heritage-inspired color schemes over the year, with the latest possibly referencing the Boston Celtics squad Jordan dominated on more than one occasion. An off white finish takes over the majority of the silhouette’s upper, with a grey tint reveling across the sneaker. Plastic tongues from 1991 enjoy a semi-translucent finish that also appears underfoot but in a rich green. Branding at the collar and spine deviate in pitch-black tones, but the Air Jordan 8-inspired details along the rearfoot further promote a Celtics-friendly green.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch soon. The Jordan MVP is priced at $165 USD.
