Frankie Cruz Jr. Certain sneaker designs lend themselves to monochromatic coloring, and such is the case with the ASICS GEL-NYC.
This actually isn’t the first time that the Kobe, Japan-based brand has applied a grayscale approach to this silhouette, but we haven’t seen this particular colorway before. The mixture of materials is very similar to previous GEL-NYC releases; the predominantly “Black” upper is nicely contrasted by a shiny silver overlay, and “Graphite Gray” appears throughout the sole, with a nice gradient shift at the midsole.
The unisex sneaker is already available on ASICS’ website for $130, though quite few sizes have already sold out, so if you’re fond of this color combo you may want to put your order in sooner than later.
In other news, the Nike Foamposite “Eggplant” are also set to drop in 2024, though the latter has only been confirmed for Asian markets.
