Updated January 17th, 2024: A second Wales Bonner adidas Samba has been revealed. This upcoming black colorway will release in 2024 and is said to be limited to just 750 pairs. According to these images, each pair appears to be individually numbered to 50 on the tongue; that figure likely applies to the specific size of the shoe. This all-black leather build features the trademark stitch pattern along the edges of the tongue and heel, while golden studs are pressed into the three stripes on the upper.

Wales Bonner has risen to become adidas’ most crucial collaborative partner, captivating sneakerheads with a lineup of must-have Wales Bonner adidas Samba drops that helped push the classic silhouette’s popularity even further. For those who couldn’t manage to get a pair in-hand at retail, not to worry – the collaboration is back in 2024.
An early look at a new Samba sample has appeared, sporting the familiar Wales Bonner technique of using elevated, premium materials on the upper and finishing it off with their trademark stitching at the heel and tongue. The stripes boast a rich royal blue color with snakeskin-like textures, while the shoelaces are the thick multi-colored variety. Cementing this collaboration is the Wales Bonner branding on the tongue and by the lateral stripes.
This is likely one of several to drop in 2024 as the Wales Bonner Sambas tend to drop in clusters of four. And given the relative simplicity of the design, the unseen pairs could be revealed to have some gaudier details such as the hairy leopard print or the shiny metallic silver seen in previous iterations.
