Previously releasing in the form of a Dunk Low and an Air Force 1, Nike now looks to the re-crafted Air Max 1 ’86 as a canvas to pay tribute to one of the most important professional athletes in history.
Decorated in an elegant mix of white, dark navy blue, gold, and gum, this Air Max 1 ’86 is built with a premium assortment of materials that include soft suede and perforated suede leather. Golden detailing arrives via the metallic lace dubrae, lace eyelets, Nike Air branding at the heel, and the baseball diamond-shaped “42” patch on the tongue’s pull-tab.
