Inspired by an all-time classic.

The New Balance 2002R Appears In The Timeless “Steel Blue”

There’s much to be excited about for New Balance as they’ve recently reported some incredible record-setting numbers in 2023. Needless to say, they’re looking to not only match, but duly surpass that brand performance in 2024, and the 2002R silhouette is one of the sneakers that might help them grow another 23% in revenue.

By now, the New Balance 2002R has become a staple in today’s casual lifestyle sneaker scene. As one of the best-selling models by the brand, the 2002R has perfectly combined that retro aesthetic with the 2000s-era performance to create a silhouette that can’t seem to miss. This one’s for the true NB loyalists, because this upcoming colorway should instantly remind them of the iconic “Steel Blue” that originated in the New Balance 1300 (and has been referenced time and time again).

These have currently appeared at a retailer overseas, but should arrive on newbalance.com soon for $150.

In other NB updates, here’s a look at the latest from the New Balance 9060.
