The adidas Trae Young 3 over its seven months as a focal point of adidas Basketball, has tipped off a few patterns that crop up in each successive colorway. On top of a general love for the brighter end of the color wheel, gradients have appeared on about half a dozen Trae Young shoes, from “Acid Orange” to “Lucid Cyan.” Again embracing both of those tendencies, the two part “Spraypaint Pack” stand out with marked contrast between its composite pairs.
First and foremost, the name. While the Three Stripes has proven willing to experiment with their iconic branding, such ventures hadn’t made their way to the Trae 3 until now. The Three Stripes sit above “bleeding” paint splotches on the exterior side of both shoes, clad in a contrast shade compared to their interior counterparts.
The first in the pack come in adorned in a colorful cotton candy palette, shifting multiple times between baby blue and soft pink- be it in the mesh upper, the midsole, or even on the outsole. The only other hue that makes it onto the shoe is navy, dressing the aforementioned interior Stripes.
The second, in “Cloud White/Crew Yellow/Core Black” evokes digital camo, its black to white gradient both undercut and emphasized by small, pixelated hits of grey. It’s overall a much more muted palette than their counterparts, but holds onto just enough color to carry the energy of the Atlanta Hawks phenom.
No release date has been set for the adidas Trae Young 3 “Spraypaint Pack,” but it’s fair to imagine they’ll both arrive alongside one another. We expect the typical Trae 3 retail price of $140 once they do drop.
Elsewhere for the Three Stripes, the very last Yeezy drops are among the biggest sneaker stories this year. Stay in the loop via our Yeezy Release Dates page.
