Though Ja Morant’s season ended prematurely, nothing’s holding back his signature shoe. Each drop of new Ja Morant shoes continues to be met by widespread acclaim, and the upcoming pair, wearing contrast monochromes of mint & orange on each shoe will surely do the same.

Contrasting two sneakers in the same pair isn’t new for the Memphis Grizzlies star. While the Nike Ja 1 “EYBL” that jumped from aquamarine to fuschia is a hard shoe to get your hands on, the Nike Ja 1 “Hunger” colorway, similarly balanced between red and navy, is a close GR comparison.

“Bright Mandarin” and “Vapor Green” are the chosen shades here, a vibrant pastel choice fit for the summer months. Though may not initially read as complementary, the highlighter tones work well together, especially on the heel where the respective secondary color dresses Ja’s branding.

Outside of the palette difference, the layout of the shoes is cohesive across both, between camo-like medium panels that’s mirrored on the heel tab, an all-grey textured swoosh, and the opposite color dressing Ja’s logo on the tongue tab.

This mismatched pair of the Nike Ja 1 are expected for release this summer, likely at the typical $120 price point. Enjoy initial looks just ahead.

Elsewhere out of Nike Basketball, we’re nearing closer and closer to the release of the Nike KD 17.
