“Electric Yellow” Marks A Radiant New Balance WRPD Runner

A high-voltage colorway of the NB newcomer.

“Electric Yellow” Marks A Radiant New Balance WRPD Runner

The New Balance WRPD Runner continues to roll out new looks as it approaches 7 months as a general release NB model. So far, those colorways have been an even balance between conservative and experimental. The newest, in a bold “Electric Yellow,” absolutely falls into the latter category.

Even if the colors may sometimes get wild, the New Balance WRPD Runner has relied on relatively simplistic color-blocking so far. That is to say, designers have taken the suede overlays, underlying mesh and midsole each as cohesive pieces rather than splitting them up in color.

That schema remains here, the mesh and midsole sections arriving clad in that “Electric Yellow” tonality. The contrast is turned up when lime green pieces of the outsole bleed onto an overlaid stripe on the interior side. With the upper panels relying on a staid light gray, and the “N” logo dressed in reliable midnight black, those remaining spots allow the vibrant neon tone to take the lead in this pair’s overall design.

A concrete release date hasn’t been set for the New Balance WRPD Runner “Electric Yellow,” but a release via NewBalance.com in the next several weeks is likely. They’ll carry a $150 retail price when they do come about.
