The previous partners reunite for Air Max Day.

Nike And Fortnite Open The World Of Airphoria 2.0 With The Air Max Dn

Once a curiosity in the era of the first virtual Travis Scott concert, it’s more and more seeming that if your brand isn’t in Fortnite, you’re doing something wrong. Last June, Nike got that message, launching the world of “Airphoria” and bringing players through an exclusive co-branded island. Less than a year after the “Ultimate Sneaker Hunt” kicked off, they’re returning to the Epic Games universe, and bringing the Nike Air Max Dn with them.

If you participated in the original activation, a few familiar faces crop in the 2024 edition, with Airie and Max, two of the minted skins from last year, re-appearing here. Additionally, the new “Airphorian” enters the fray, with the cosmetics attached to the character reflecting the sneakers he wears: the Nike Air Max 1 “Royal Volt,” Nike Air Max Dn “All Night” and Nike Air Max Plus “Sunset” all show up.

As far as gameplay goes, Airphoria 2.0 holds onto the treasure hunt formula, instead prompting players to bring together four Air Max chambers to create the Dn model. Two distinct halves of the world are pictured in initial images, split between a cyberpunk, “All Night” city nightscape and a mid-air vista that takes players up a suspended ladder of Nike brand imagery.

The Nike x Fortnite Airphoria 2.0 island is currently open, with the activation closing on April 2nd. Players can use the code 2887-3398-8922 to participate in the experience, or head to the island’s landing page for more details. Enjoy a gallery of official images just ahead, depicting both promotional artwork and in-game stills.

Elsewhere for Nike, speculation swirled after the Nike x Stash Air Max 95 re-entered the conversation on Air Max Day.
