Imran Potato’s Vans Knu Skool Is Dropping In Two Colorways

Imran Potato is the fashion scene’s favorite bootlegger, best known for his tongue-in-cheek commissions for celebrity consumers like Billie Eilish and Bad Bunny, among others. Having curated a design ethos that’s clearly “Off The Wall” through custom apparel, Imran and Vans are a match made in heaven. The duo first joined forces in 2022 on a Sk8-Hi capsule, and now their partnership enters its next phase with a collaborative take on the Vans Knu Skool MTE-1 LX.

A clean “Navy” colorway takes center stage for our purposes, but its joined by a “Black/Gum” alternative and a potential “Camo” pair that’s been teased on Instagram. All pairs come with co-branding on the tongue, heel, and lace tips for a cohesive delivery, made special by Potato x Vans packaging that mirrors the pattern of composition notebooks.

The duo’s use of simple, classic colorways speaks to Vans’ ambitions regarding the Knu Skool model at large, the SoCal brand having just launched a new marketing campaign celebrating the model’s legacy. These collaborative pairs will most definitely breathe new life into the shoe’s outdoor-ready MTE-1 LX cut, defined by its rugged gum tread underfoot. Otherwise, the shoe’s upper features all the hallmarks of the traditional Knu Skool with a puffy tongue, oversized laces, and protruded foam jazz stripe.
