First Look At The Nike Kobe 8 Protro “College Navy”

Another clean look graces the Mamba's eighth Nike shoe.

First Look At The Nike Kobe 8 Protro “College Navy”

Kobe Bryant’s signature shoes are a favorite among hoopers of all levels, and Nike looks to satisfy great demand through a variety of upcoming “Team Edition” Kobe 8 colorways. Newly surfaced “University Red” and “Wolf Grey” treatments are now joined by a “College Navy” pair of the same color blocking scheme, offering simple looks made easily adoptable by professional and recreational teams all the same.

A first look courtesy of @knowing_kicks showcases a monotone upper with white hits on the Swoosh, tongue, and the Kobe signature on the heel. The aforementioned red and grey pairs feature identical treatments, only with navy swatched out for other colors.

Not that it needed much assistance to begin with, the recent release of the Kobe 8 “Court Purple” and “Radiant Emerald” have maintained high hype levels for the Mamba’s eighth Nike shoe, not to mention an upcoming “Venice Beach” pair. These new “Team Edition” treatments look poised to capture even more attention, likely to be produced in large quantities given the broad appeal of monotone designs.

The Kobe 8 “College Navy” is set to release Fall 2024 for $190 alongside its “Team Edition” counterparts, but no official release date has been set at the time of this writing. Periodically return to our Sneaker Release Dates page for updates and enjoy a close-up look below in the meantime.
