The New Balance 2002R Lightens Up For Spring In “Sandstone”

For as much attention as colorful editions of shoes like the New Balance 1906R or New Balance 550 may rightfully warrant, the Boston brand will always be most at home toying with neutral palettes. Keeping things in that lane, the latest New Balance 2002R presents an easily worn edition for the whole family.

Given the expanded target demographics for this pair, it makes sense why the design choices cast a wide net. The 2002R takes almost entirely to earthy shades of “Linen” and “Sandstone,” while “Magnet” grey dots the shoe on slight accents throughout. The understated colorway allows the materials to shine all the more, with the textured suede overlays on the upper taking the lead above grey leather webbing and beige mesh.

The New Balance 2002R “Sandstone” is available now on NewBalance.com, listed in full family sizing- Adults ($145), Big Kids ($100), Little Kids ($90) & Toddler ($75). You can find direct purchase links just ahead with an official gallery below that.
