After experiencing a record-breaking 2023 year in which the brand saw a growth of revenue by 25%, New Balance is now in formation to take on the biggest sports in America — football. They’re doing so by signing Marvin Harrison Jr., one of the most (if not THE most) exciting player prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft.
The son of NFL legend Marvin Harrison and standout at Ohio State, Harrison Jr. joins a star-studded roster of professional athletes leading the way for New Balance’s powerful charge in the competitive athletic sportswear business. In doing so, New Balance also unveils its first-ever US football cleats — the New Balance Prodigy and the New Balance Fortress. Those in attendance at the NFL Draft in Detroit, MI can see the footwear in person at the Klutch Athletics pop-up.
Given how New Balance likes to involve its athletes in its Lifestyle business, it would not be unexpected to see some collaborative Marvin Harrison Jr. footwear and apparel collections similar to the recent drop of Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone’s capsule back in March. Could we see a Marvin Harrison Jr. x New Balance 550? It’s possible.
