The Brooklyn native gets a comfy homage.

Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Artwork Featured On The Crocs Classic Clog

If you aren’t on the Crocs train just yet, creatives at the Colorado company are sure to land a collab that’ll hit close to your heart sooner or later. Minting the Busch Light Crocs, Pringles Crocs and Baby Yoda Crocs in just the past 14 days, their newest link-up goes high art, paying tribute to the late great Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Though the heavy use of blues and blacks in Basquiat’s work creates some complementary footwear at first glance, these shoes actually alternate between two of the Brooklyn-born artist’s most famous works: Untitled (1982) on the left shoe and Untitled Skull (1981) on the right. Jibbitz charms arrive depicting additional iconic pieces like Untitled 1960 (1983) and the dinosaur depicted in Pez Dispenser. As with most special editions minted under Basquiat’s name, his literal signature and signature crown also appear on the profile of these shoes, both as a Jibbitz and in select branding appearing at the heel on the insole.

The Basquiat x Crocs Classic Clog lands via Foot Locker and Champs on May 7th for $75. While a wider Crocs.com release is likely, it hasn’t been announced just yet. Get a closer look via retailer imagery ahead.

Sticking on the collab front, we recently got detailed images of the Aime Leon Dore New Balance 1000.
