The all-time great enters a new role.

Candace Parker Named President Of adidas Womens Basketball

Throughout her entire career, Candace Parker’s ambassadorship of the game extended beyond the confines of the basketball court. Serving as a signature athlete for adidas, an analyst for TNT, and a representative of the United States during the Olympics, Parker has amassed an illustrious career that has her easily in the GOAT argument. Now, with the two-time WNBA MVP hanging it up for good, she’ll continue to pave the way for the next generation of women hoopers as the President of adidas Women’s Basketball.

According to official information shared by adidas, Parker will oversee the adidas Women’s Basketball product line, which currently includes her own signature shoe. The adi roster boasts a line-up ofAliyah Boston, Hailey Van Lith, Kahleah Copper, Aaliyah Edwards, Chelsea Gray, Betnijah Laney, Alysha Clark, Nneka Ogwumike, Chiney Ogwumike, and Erica Wheeler; with Parker at the helm, it’s even more attractive for aspiring young womens talent to align with the stripes. And with the rising popularity of women’s hoops in general, Parker’s role could extend into the realm of selecting the next adidas signature athlete and NIL athlete that will represent the brand moving forward.

“Stepping into this new leadership role is a deeply personal next step in my journey with adidas,”  says Candace.

The appointment of Parker is the latest move in the ever-evolving adidas Basketball front. Of course, this movement is currently being headed by the meteoric rise of Anthony Edwards and the widely popular adidas AE1 basketball shoe as well as the hot anticipation of the adidas AE1 Low.
