The Nike Air Max Plus continues to live in the spotlight, refracted and retooled on a number of occasions as a part of the silhouette’s 25th anniversary celebration. The latest we saw was the Nike Air Max Plus Tiempo, revealed via official images in an all-black colorway towards the end of March. Now we’re learning that the hybrid model isn’t just siloed to a one-off edition. Images of a silver-on-black colorway just emerged via JD Sports.
It’s essentially a “reverse” colorway of that original pair, ratcheting up the application of silver while utilizing jet black as a contrast shade on the Swoosh and outsole. Consistent with its predecessor, the iconic TPU waves of the original Air Max Plus manifest here via visible stitching, tracing the shape of their palm frond geometry atop chromed-out leather. The extended tongue remains here as well, folding down to become a faux-shroud at rest.
As mentioned towards the top, though the Nike Air Max Plus Tiempo is plenty notable for its novel Frankenstein DNA, it isn’t even close to the first refracted version of the shoe we’ve gotten this year. In just the past few months, the Air Max Plus Hiker and Air Max Plus Utility added new hardware to the silhouette, while pairs like the Air Max Plus “Sand Soles” got plenty wacky with in-line designs.
This silver pair is expected to debut in July for $190. Detailed images ahead will give you a better sense of what to expect when this Nike Air Max Plus Tiempo comes about.
Jumping over to the Jordan Release Dates 2024 slate, the Air Jordan 11 Low Space Jam makes a long-awaited entrance on May 18th.
