The New Balance 1906R Gets Painted In “Black/White”

A more conservative look for the typically expressive runner.

The New Balance 1906R Gets Painted In “Black/White”

Just under two years after its reintroduction, the New Balance 1906R is one of the Boston brand’s most impactful models, presenting a prefect tech runner style for their creatives to bring bold palettes to. While those vibrant, eccentric looks have become the norm for the model in recent months, the neutrally toned world of its parent company is never far out of reach. The New Balance 1906 “Black/White” speaks to that perfectly, returning to a sleek colorway for the summer months.

This colorway is entirely grey-scale; the only thing preventing a true two-tone arrangement is the slightest note of grey on the midsole and heel. Elsewise, reliable black and white paints the entire shoe from heel to toe. Reversing course from past drops, this colorway actually de-emphasizes its layered composition with its toned-down palette. Nonetheless, those with a keen eye or already established fans of the silhouette can still appreciate the hardware at work. This “Black/White” outfit simply gives those who prefer a less audacious shoe the chance to get in on the 1906R wave.

The New Balance 1906R “Black/White” will command a $140 retail price upon arrival. Expect this pair to hit NewBalance.com in the coming weeks as we get into the Fall slate.

Sticking with this model, the Jack Harlow New Balance 1906R is already factoring into the “sneaker of the year” discourse before even dropping.
