Save for last year, Carhartt WIP has joined forces with Converse on an annual basis, beginning in 2017. Their collaborative history has chiefly centered around the Converse One Star and the iconic CTAS. Dipping back into that well, the frequent partners are reuniting via those two models once again.
2024’s edition of the Chuck 70 harkens back to when their 2020 edition was released to the public, that shoe sporting a contrast denim outfit of navy and yellow. Holding onto that idea, these swap out for suede, clad in complementary shades of eggshell, brown and tan across three split upper panels. Though the delicate material may not initially read as a Carhartt kind of choice, the earthy palette is certainly in line with the naturalistic ideals the imprint majors in.
Just a stone’s throw from their high top counterparts, the Converse One Star holds onto that suede and its tri-tone colorway. However, these are symmetrical, slicing down the middle of the design in brown while decorating the rest of the shoe split between white & tan. As with each of their previous linkups, both of the pairs here are draped in “CONS/Carhartt” co-branding.
Both pairs in the Carhartt Converse collection drop June 6th via SNKRS- the One Star commands $85 retail and the Chuck $80. A launch via Carhartt and Converse channels is also expected. Just ahead, you can find official images of both shoes.
In more collaborative news, we finally received a release date for the Action Bronson New Balance 1906R.
