Sneaker News Never shy about borrowing outfits, Nike has often transported the iconic “Silver Bullet” from the Air Max 97 to its successors (and its predecessors). That dashing silver and red and appeared on recent issues like the Air Max Dn and even the Air Max 95, and while this new Air Max Plus seems to follow suit, these shouldn’t be considered part of that family.
That’s because in 2017, Nike already did it. The Air Max Plus “Silver Bullet” appeared not only with the same colors, but even the ventilated mesh materials seen on the 1997 model. This 2024 version, rather, keeps to its standard construction while using more of a matte finish on the metallic exterior. Furthermore, a gradient of colors appears as well, maintaining unison with the Tuned Air’s original concept.
